AL Results & Tiffin Info

Congrats on 3 great races at the AL Earlybird Invite! Despite the heat and humidity you really pulled through!  Having to run up that wonderful man made hill not once, but twice, sure is a challenge, but you guys handled it very well- it’s nothing compared to the Mohican hill, right?!  Varsity came in 2nd overall (to the D1 State Champs!), and JV came in 5th.  We couldn’t be more proud of you girls!  You put Bay Village on the map this week... wait and see our name crawl up that poll!

Golden Spike Winners:  
Katie Galang - Congratulations to KATIE GALANG for a great race and lifetime PR this week!  Katie was added to our JV team last minute and really rose to the occasion.  She dropped 41 seconds from her previous time.  We know that time is going to keep dropping, Katie!  We are so happy to have you on our team this year!

Mary Woods – Way to go MARY WOODS!  Dropping almost 1:30 in any race is tough enough but with the heat and conditions on Saturday you did something incredible!  You have been working so hard in practice and all the hard work has definitely paid off!  Can’t wait to see what you can do in some cooler conditions and on a faster course!  Congrats!

If your name is not on the list for Saturday it is because you are excused from attending by a parent or you have informed us about about an injury that will keep you from competing. Please let us know if you have any questions!

REMINDERS:

- HYDRATE and EAT SMART starting NOW!

- We run in the afternoon so have a good breakfast and lunch before getting on the bus. Bring healthy snacks and foods that you know your stomach can handle before a big run!

- Bring money for dinner on the way home from Tiffin. We will most likely be stopping at Applebees!

- Watch, black sports bra, spikes!

- It may be muddy/rainy at the meet so please bring extra shoes and socks! It may be a little cooler too, so pack a jacket!
