THE HILL - Mohican 2013
Thank you to everyone that helped make Mohican a success! As always, the girls had a wonderful time and did some great running too!

A few important reminders:
- PICTURES are Friday 8/9 at 2:45pm.  The girls wear dresses/skirts & we meet at BHS gym doors.
- MANDATORY PARENT MEETINGS ARE 8/12 and 8/13 at 7:00PM @ BHS auditorium
- Classic at Mastick is Wednesday 8/14, we will have the girls numbers and race packets at the race site! Girls race is at 6:45pm but we suggest getting down to the Mastick race site by 4:30pm due to limited parking.  If your daughter is involved in Freshman Orientation they have permission from the administration to leave at 5:00pm in order to get to the race in time to warm up and run fast.  It might be a good idea to have a few parents car pool to drop off the runners since parking will be full at that time.

Please be sure to read the ATTENDANCE POLICY posted to the right.  We do not want to have to hold someone out of a race because of an unexcused absence! Let us know if you have any questions!

Here is a pic of the girls practicing yoga with Molly after last week's long run!

Parents Meeting & Important Dates

Hi all!

Please join us for a parent information meeting on June 4th at 7:00pm at the Cahoon Park Gazebo.  We will be going over summer training expectations, schedule, forms, waivers, etc.  It would be great if you could bring a smart phone or ipad with a wireless connection so we can go over the information that you have available on this website!  Looking forward to seeing some new faces and catching up with all the team vets!

Important Dates
June 8th - School Physicals offered.  Click HERE for info!
July 4th - Bay Days 5 Mile Run - We will register as a team!
August 1st - First Official Day of practice
August 14th - Classic at Mastick 5K. Click HERE for registration!  Print and send SOON!
Official Meet schedule posted under TEAM INFO

Forms (must be turned in before 8/1 - first official day of practice)
- Emergency Medical Form
- Current Physical (they are good for a year!) - take advantage of the physicals offered by the school!

Summer Cross Training (both require waivers to be signed)
Spinning at Psycle - Fridays
Swimming at Bay Pool - Tuesdays

What does every runner need?
- WATCH:  This is CRITICAL!  Everyone needs to be responsible for their own workout and performance.  Watch doesn't have to be fancy, just something that keeps the time! - Target has great options!
- SHOES:  Supportive running shoes that will help you run fast and stay injury free.  We suggest visiting Second Sole in Rocky River to get fitted for the correct shoe.
- BLACK SPORTS BRA:  OHSAA rules state that undergarments must all be the same.  The team has decided that black sports bras are what should be worn under the team uniform. - Again, Target has great options... they have champion sports bras on sale throughout the summer
- WATER: A must have!

We are so excited for what is sure to be another successful season for Bay XC!  As always please contact us with any questions! baygirlsxc@gmail.com
