5th Place at Galion

Congratulations on two good races today!  It's never easy to come off of a performance like we had last week at Tiffin (19 lifetime/7 season PR's), but you all ran well despite the heat and proved that it would take more than a cannon in the middle of Galion to take down the Rockets!  The varsity team improved upon its 11th place performance last year by placing 5th among 28 teams today.  Take a look at the results on baumspage and remember how much each place really means to the overall results.  The teams in front of us are definitely within reach!

Also, be sure to check out the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Poll link to the right.  The Lady Rockets are ranked 8th in the state this week! There are 12 coaches in each district in the state that vote on these teams...and it looks like you've gotten their attention ; ) Congratulations!  All your hard work is paying off!  We are very proud of you and can't wait to see you run fast at Cloverleaf!

Congratulations on placing 3rd and running your lifetime PR of 22:05 AGAIN!  You run consistently AND fast...what a great combo!  We are so proud of your improvement Jenna, but we are even more impressed with your ability to analyze your race results, make a plan, and then execute!  You have run so well the last two weeks, now lets see what you can do in the varsity race at Cloverleaf!  Breaking the 22:00 barrier sounds like a good idea ; )
